People at Freudenberg in Berlin (Menschen bei Freudenberg in Berlin)

Publication of a long-term project commissioned by the Freudenberg Sealing Technologies GmbH. The work environment of the factory's employees was documented before the facility's closure and the move to a new factory at the Berlin outskirts. Through a combination of close portraits, observations of daily work routines and industrial landscape, the imagery of this book is providing a profound inside view of a historic industrial place. For almost a century rubber seals were manufactured here in the middle of Berlin. Freudenberg's new factory was built and opened in 2011 at Berlin's periphery.
